This can be handy if you have a lot of unread messages. In order not to manually search for them among many correspondences, you can filter the list, leaving only those chats where there are unread messages.
To see all unread messages, in the full version of the site, go to the "My messages" section, and on the right side above the list of all correspondence, click on the "Unread" filter button.
To return to the general list of conversations again (with read and unread messages), click on the adjacent "All" filter button.
